I used to have Julie as my hygienist, but since she retired, I have just been bopping around. She was the reason I stayed with First Choice. Everyone I've seen has been great, but who I am working with now, Ashley, is just fantastic! She takes great care of me and is so genuine and personable. Like the movie As Good as it Gets, "she makes me want to take care of my teeth better", lol! Dr. Austin is also great! He remembers the care he gives and is also so genuine. The appointment was organized, well-timed, and relaxing. I felt like I could fall asleep in their hands. All procedures were explained and I felt comfortable the whole time! Teeth were super clean after, will go back and would recommend to a friend!

Excellent experience all around! I was taken back to my chair almost immediately on time for my appointment (even despite personally arriving JUST on time) and was walked through the overall process and new patient x-rays. Following x-rays, my hygienist did an exam looking for periodontal disease and recommended a treatment plan. She was SO gentle in her cleaning despite me having some plaque build up, and my mouth/teeth felt SO clean following. I really hate giving reviews because they are meaningless if you don't know what's important to me, my prior experiences, etc. But First Choice Dental wants my review. In dentists, I value someone who knows what they are doing and who respects my intelligence. I also like someone who isn't real chatty (that's kind of true for everyone I know and interact with -- if you talk to me while you're cutting my hair, I'll never come back). Dr. Austin and everyone I have encountered have been absolutely fantastic. They are all very professional, kind and cheerful. Dr. Austin in particular is very knowledgeable and does excellent work, he is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Austin and First Choice Dental on East Washington Avenue.
