I used to have Julie as my hygienist, but since she retired, I have just been bopping around. She was the reason I stayed with First Choice. Everyone I've seen has been great, but who I am working with now, Ashley, is just fantastic! She takes great care of me and is so genuine and personable. Like the movie As Good as it Gets, "she makes me want to take care of my teeth better", lol! Dr. Austin is also great! He remembers the care he gives and is also so genuine. This was supposed to be a quick shout-out and thank you to Dr. Austin, (aka Dr. Schopbach), and the folks that are part of his practice- First Choice Dental, on East Washington St., in Madison. This, however, will be a bit longer. Dr. Austin and his team have done an outstanding job of making any visit I have at First Choice as comfortable as they can. They take the time to understand your concerns and make you feel as comfortable and at ease as possible. This facility has changed how I feel about dental expierences for the better.
I have never loved going to the dentist before coming here. Dr. Austin always goes above and beyond to give the best care and options for dental health and cosmetic procedures. He has the best chairside and always explains what is going on inside your mouth ( even if you can't feel it ). Ashley is also phenomenal. With her fun personality and amazing care she makes sure my dental treatments are thorough yet it doesn't feel at all invasive. Growing up we couldn’t afford dental care. I think the absence caused me to develop a phobia of the dentist. In the last 20 years, Ive been to multiple dentists and the phobia has never gotten better. Im always highly anxious and ready to jump out of the chair.
