I used to have Julie as my hygienist, but since she retired, I have just been bopping around. She was the reason I stayed with First Choice. Everyone I've seen has been great, but who I am working with now, Ashley, is just fantastic! She takes great care of me and is so genuine and personable. Like the movie As Good as it Gets, "she makes me want to take care of my teeth better", lol! Dr. Austin is also great! He remembers the care he gives and is also so genuine. This was supposed to be a quick shout-out and thank you to Dr. Austin, (aka Dr. Schopbach), and the folks that are part of his practice- First Choice Dental, on East Washington St., in Madison. Excellent experience all around! I was taken back to my chair almost immediately on time for my appointment (even despite personally arriving JUST on time) and was walked through the overall process and new patient x-rays. Following x-rays, my hygienist did an exam looking for periodontal disease and recommended a treatment plan. She was SO gentle in her cleaning despite me having some plaque build up, and my mouth/teeth felt SO clean following. Dr.Austin is Hands down Amazing!! I had a really bad experience with a different dentist and that made me shy away from going to any dentist for a very long time. My daughter had gone to him and had an excellent experience so I thought I would try . Am so glad I did he is very confident, has amazing people skills and treats you with respect and does not judge.
