I have only good things to say about the experiences here with dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists… but the receptionists at the front as well as on the phone are rude and unprofessional. I’ve never seen one of them smile. Asking them a simple question regarding insurance and future appointments seems like a chore and an inconvenience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barker since 2011, and he is truly an excellent dentist. I just had a bridge completed, and it is as perfect as one can get. He was thorough and didn't rush through the process. His assistant, Jackie is also so knowledgeable and friendly...they make an awesome team. I would definitely recommend Dr. Barker at First Street Dental if you are looking for a dentist.

I’ve been seeing the dentists, most usually Dr. Roberts, at First Street Dental since I was a kid. Dr. Roberts is my all-time favourite medical professional. He is kind, gentle, and incredibly informative. Every question I’ve ever asked has been responded to with enthusiastic rigour. If he delivered lectures - I’d go listen! Many years ago I had a bad experience at the dentist and so I’m now a wuss when it comes to anything other than normal checkup/cleaning visits. Dr. Barker and his team are phenomenal. I’m always treated with kindness and compassion, they ask frequently if I’m doing okay throughout procedures and reassure me as to how the visit is going. I’ve had several repairs done to broken fillings that are many years old, or broken teeth around the fillings. Dr. Barker and his staff were very friendly and courteous! Even though it was an evening appointment, the staff were polite and my appointment was quick and efficient! I loved that music was playing in the background, which took my mind off any drilling. Dr. Barker is excellent with the needle and my dentist anxiety was quickly diffused. I highly recommend First Street Dental!
