I had a tooth break and Pier 1 dental got me in on an emergency basis with no delay to my current trip on a sailboat. Dr. Andy Wong used their CEREC technology to design, build, and install a crown in a single visit. My wife also had a dental filling replaced while I was there. Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. If I live anywhere near Campbell River, Pier 1 dental would become my go to dental provider. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to this time. I broke my denture just before heading out on vacation and needed an urgent fix. The Pier Street Dental team was incredibly accommodating. Dr. Hannah King was wonderful—she suggested a temporary crown so I could fully enjoy my trip and get a feel for it, the permanent crown to be placed once I returned. First off let me tell you I'm terrified of dentists, on top of that I'm autistic. The staff were more than kind and courteous, they understood I had certain sensory problems and let me accomadate myself first before starting. For example put in my Flare Calmer plugs, taking my shoes off, allowing my partner to stay in the room for moral support. They were very clear walking me through a tooth extraction! I just had a crown done on one of my teeth. This mini disaster happened while I was chomping down on a hard crust from the Superstore (30% off section). However, Pier Street Dental to the rescue. I consider myself very fortunate to have such good dental care during times of self inflicted emergencies. Dr. Chin is one of the best. Pier Street Dental has always been fantastic! I have been a patient for years and the level of service has been consistent. 5 star for sure! Dr. Wong (Andy) and his staff, at every level, have always been kind, supportive and extremely efficient in everything I've had done. I haven't personally interacted with the new dentists that have recently joined the practice, but I can guarantee, if Dr. Wong brought them on-board, any patient will be treated with the same approach.
