As a new patient, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I saw Dr Kingwell, who is warm and sympathetic and has a great deal of expertise. She took the time to talk through the X-rays and showed me where some work needed to be done. The hygienist was also excellent, knowledgeable, a good communicator, and gentle. I had a tooth break and Pier 1 dental got me in on an emergency basis with no delay to my current trip on a sailboat. Dr. Andy Wong used their CEREC technology to design, build, and install a crown in a single visit. My wife also had a dental filling replaced while I was there. Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. If I live anywhere near Campbell River, Pier 1 dental would become my go to dental provider. All of the staff are fantastic! Huge thank you to Courtenay for making me feel so comfortable and calm. She is very personable and took the time to help explain and educate me on improving my teeth hygiene. Thanks for making this a much more enjoyable experience than I envisioned it would be. (Laura)
Fantastic staff, very happy, knowledgeable and patient. Not only did their hygienist Courtney do a wonderful job cleaning my teeth, she also taught me that calculus isn't just a class I failed in high school. It's also a substance, that if left unchecked, will turn your gums into turtleneck sweaters. One appointment with her and my teeth felt like they ditched their tight turtlenecks and slipped into comfortable cashmere cardigans. Highly recommend.
Most people think of the dentist as the place you go only when something hurts or you’ve run out of excuses to cancel. But somehow, Pier Street Dental has become the one dental office I actually don’t mind visiting, which feels like a small miracle. The clinic is spotless, modern, and always feels calm from the moment you walk in.
