I visited Pier Street Dental on November 28 for my initial appointment, and I had a great experience. The team did a very thorough cleaning, and the dental staff were all so nice, friendly, and welcoming. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure and explained every step clearly. I went back on December 10 for a filling, and again, the experience was excellent. I had a tooth break and Pier 1 dental got me in on an emergency basis with no delay to my current trip on a sailboat. Dr. Andy Wong used their CEREC technology to design, build, and install a crown in a single visit. My wife also had a dental filling replaced while I was there. Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. If I live anywhere near Campbell River, Pier 1 dental would become my go to dental provider. Called in with an emergency the day before I was supposed to leave for vacation and they were able to fit me in as well as fix the issue right away! I am extremely happy with the results. Everyone there made me feel welcome and comfortable. I will definitely be going here for all appointments in the future. Special thanks to Sylvia and Dr. Kingwell for making sure I’ll have a photo ready smile during my trip!!
First off let me tell you I'm terrified of dentists, on top of that I'm autistic. The staff were more than kind and courteous, they understood I had certain sensory problems and let me accomadate myself first before starting. For example put in my Flare Calmer plugs, taking my shoes off, allowing my partner to stay in the room for moral support. They were very clear walking me through a tooth extraction! Pier Street Dental has always been fantastic! I have been a patient for years and the level of service has been consistent. 5 star for sure! Dr. Wong (Andy) and his staff, at every level, have always been kind, supportive and extremely efficient in everything I've had done. I haven't personally interacted with the new dentists that have recently joined the practice, but I can guarantee, if Dr. Wong brought them on-board, any patient will be treated with the same approach.
