This was my first visit at Portrait dental office and I had a great experience. The staff are all very welcoming and the office setting and equipments are very modern. We went over my dental Xrays together where the damage was identified, and everything was clearly explained to me, including how I can prevent further issues so I don’t need fillings in the future.
My husband and I were looking for a local dentist, so we booked a cleaning check up with Portrait Dental. Cleaning and consult was good, they have a nice setup. Our first experience was great, everyone was welcoming and very accommodating with our pup.
Unfortunately I experienced the worst dental experience here. I came in for fillings for the first time (my second visit here), but was not aware of how many that were going to be worked on - would have appreciated more transparency around the state of my teeth. Had 4 almost 5 fillings done on one side of my mouth -- this felt like a cash grab. In addition, the dentist was clearly getting frustrated at the dental hygienist throughout the entire appointment. I’ve been going to Portrait for three years now. The team is very professional, and all the hygienists are excellent. However, I would appreciate more stability in the staff. My first dentist was amazing, but unfortunately, she’s no longer there. :( Overall I recommend it!!
I had the worst experience ever with this clinic. I went in for a teeth cleaning, and they suggested that I also get my regular checkup with a doctor that same day. The dentist looked at my X-rays and told me I had cavities in six teeth, suggesting I return the next day for fillings. The way the doctor explained the cavities was very odd—when I asked for clarification, he just kept repeating himself quickly and wasn’t clear at all.
