My son with special needs had dental work done by Dr. Benbassat under general anesthesia at Mackenzie Health. The whole process from consultation to surgery was well organized and we were taken very good care of. We had to cancel the first appointment because my son got sick and his office staff was very supportive and organized a new appointment shortly after. I brought my daughter here for a second opinion and was charged $70 for an appointment that did not result in any treatment or helpful guidance. The dentist questioned why I didn't return to the other clinic my daughter had work done at before rather than focusing on providing clear information or support, which was frustrating as a parent seeking care. Very impressed with Dr Benbassat care for my 5 yr old. Had 7 fillings done at once under general anesthesia at Mackenzie Health last Friday. All went very well. The team at his clinic as well as Hospital were fantastic, on the day Dr Bebassat met us , checked on me a few times as I was nervous for my kid’s first OR of course , he answered questions. I took my child to this dental clinic expecting professional pediatric care, but our experience was extremely disappointing. Right from the start, the receptionist’s attitude was unacceptable — when I asked for a glass of water for my child, she said: “Go to the washroom and give him water there.” That’s not how you treat a child or a parent in a medical setting.
