Due to "dental anxiety", I postponed getting checkups/cleanings for a few years. I have a bad gag reflex, which makes any dental work stressful for me as well as the dental staff. I'm very happy to report that I recently made myself come for a checkup/cleaning and the experience was surprisingly pleasant! I'm likely spelling it wrong, but the hygienist Taren (?) was very kind and patient. He offered smaller bitewings so I didn't gag.
